JANUARY FISHING REPORT

THE JANUARY JUMPING TROUT

Well a year has come and gone but the fishing sure hasn’t changed at all, its HOT HOT HOT!  Both on the shore and by boat, fisherman continue to haul large limits of trout everyday with some on the stringer reaching 15+ pounds.   Boat fisherman have the upper hand due to the current drought conditions we are facing in California but remember that there is limited space on our launch ramp so please understand that a smaller boat is recommended.  If you plan to fish from shore don’t be surprised to be faced with steep shorelines, if you look in the background of the pictures you will notice the current lake level is quite low, reaching 60′ down soon.  That said, you still wont find a better fishing hole anywhere that has more trout per gallon than us so you cant go wrong coming out this way, just check out that slideshow!

ATTENTION LAKE AMADOR ANGLERS!!! We will be increasing our current trout stocking rates to 1000lbs DAILY M-F that’s 5000lbs a week!!!  We hope to continue this for the next couple of weeks as we attempt to reduce the densities in our fish farm.  This means it will be like fishing in a barrel here so if you want a guaranteed awesome fishing day come on out.
