Trout fishing still seems to be hit and miss this time of year with the hot Summer weather. The Trout being caught are in the main body of the lake at about 45ft down and in Jackson creek in the back of the lake. We heard reports of Lightning Trout jumping in Jackson Creek last week, exciting! Power Bait is working the best, and Night Crawlers are also good. Many people catching Bass with plastic worms from the rocky points all around the lake. We planted another load of Catfish this past Friday the 24th of 500lbs. To catch Catfish either use chicken liver or dough balls. Crappie and Blue Gill are still in the warmer waters of the coves and by the structure of the big dock. We have our annual Moonlighter Bass Tournament coming up in August. We will soon have online registration available for this event. Don’t forget to check us out on Facebook for more catches and details!
