2021 State Of the Lake Update

Lake Amador is happy to continue serving the public during the 2021 Season. We are open for camping and day use recreation as usual. Some important details to note are:

Water Level is currently at 37ft down and increasing at about 2ft/week until rain graces our watershed areas for Jackson Creek. Temperature at top of the water is currently in the Low 80’s making the prime species for fishing consist of mostly Blue Gill, Catfish and Bass. Trout are deep and waiting for the cooler water to come.

Unfortunately, due to the water level, The MoonLighter Tournament is cancelled this year. Hopefully winter brings us better watershed.

Swim Pond is expected to remain open to the public through Labor Day Weekend as long as water quality is premium. We will post updates as needed. Hours are dawn till dusk. Please NO GLASS or DOGS allowed in the swim pond gated area.
